Greetings -
Morning Huddle Action Thoughts
May 11 Thought: Activity should never be confused with accomplishment.
Action: Review your daily routine and eliminate at least one thing that produces more activity than productivity.
May 12 Thought: Spy on yourself and see what you see.
Action: Make a log of how you spend every minute of your working day. After each entry make a note of how each activity contributes to the success of the practice. Make the changes you would suggest to someone else with a record like yours.
May 13 Thought: Encourage people to talk about themselves. It is a subject they treat best. Anatole France
Action: Look at all patients in a new light today, wishing you knew something more about them. Ask at least one question that will give each patient an opportunity to tell about himself/herself.
May 14 Thought: Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body. Joseph Addison
Action: Have a regular routine to serve both. Have a physical exercise routine to see that the body is strengthened and invigorated. Read to keep the mind healthy and filled with worthy new ideas that someone else has tried and proved.
May 15 Thought: The most effective recommendations are those that explain the most complicated things in the simplest way.
Action: Review the verbiage that you use in making various treatment proposals, especially those that are complex in nature. See that all words used in terms referred to are simple, understandable, and not in complicated dental language. It will shorten the time needed to explain the nature of the proposed treatment and will likely increase the percentage of patients who respond positively to your recommendations.
