Greetings -
We just wrapped up our Leading ToP Team seminar with doctors and key team members from around the country. Get a sneak peek at our activities with a Leading a ToP Team case study that came out of today’s course by reading this week’s ToPS Blog at www.TotalPatientService.BlogSpot.com Chances are that this case study has application to your own office and leadership skills.
Have a great week as you use the action thoughts below to wrap up your morning huddle each day.
Morning Huddle Action Thoughts
October 5
Thought: If a man harbors any sort of fear, it percolates through all his thinking, damages his personality, makes him landlord to a ghost. Lloyd Douglas
Action: Identify any fears you may have regarding your daily work. Outline your worst fears and decide what you would do in each case. Since the fears will not otherwise go away, this is one way to quit dwelling on them and get on with what’s right in the world.
October 6
Thought: A transitional thinker is one who is capable of sync-ing, linking, and listening to the input of other people.
Action: Ask at least three people today what you could do to be more helpful, productive and generally more valuable to the practice. Act on the suggestions.
October 7
Thought: The exact words you use are far less important than the energy, intensity, and conviction with which you use them. Jules Rose
Action: Besure you believe what you are saying and then practice conveying what you say with energy, intensity, and conviction. Be conscious of body language, facial expression, and use “we” and “us” rather than “I” and “you” whenever you can.
October 8
Thought: An individual without information cannot take responsibility; an individual who is given information cannot help but take responsibility. Jan Carlzon
Action: Ask each member on the dental team to recount his/her duties and decision-making prerogatives. See if any changes need to be made or additional authority given. Be sure to share all information effecting the practice as soon as it becomes available.
October 9
Thought: One percent improvement in 1000 things is better than 1000 percent improvement in one thing. Tom Peters
Action: Designate a time each week when you can make suggestions. Encourage the contribution of suggestions by acknowledging each suggestion and telling what is or will be done with it–considered and implemented, delayed temporarily, ordeemed not practical.
