April 19

Thought:  Not to be fault finding, not to unjustly fight,  ‘Tis to confess what’s wrong, and do what’s right.  Anonymous

 

Action:  Before being tempted to say something negative about a patient to another team member, find something good about him or her and what you can do to make the next visit great.

 

 

April 20

Thought:  Recollect that trifles make perfection,and perfection is no trifle.  Michelangelo

 

Action:  Decide on 5 simple, “trivial” things you can do with each patient today that will help them have a “perfect”visit.  For example:  smile, use their name, look them in thee ye, ask a sincere question, etc.

 

April 21

Thought:  Never bear more than one kind of trouble at a time.  Some people bear three--all they have had, all they have now, and all they expect to have.  EdwardEverett Hale

 

Action:  Leave your baggage at the door today!  Focus on the work at hand and do it to your best ability with no distractions.  You can pick up your worries as you go out the office door.  Just make sure to leave your office “baggage” at the door when you get home!

 

April 22

Action:  Alfred Lord Tennyson said, “I am a part of all that I have met.”   Leave every patient better than when you found him or her today.  Make sure each one is happier,healthier, more comfortable or confident because of the interaction with you.

Action:  It won’t likely hurt you a bit and will make you feel gracious and even heroic–Just overlook something today that might seem offensive and keep smiling.
