Greetings -

Something just changed!  You’ll notice that this week’s action thoughts have a new name.  That’s because this week we officially banned the Morning Huddle – hence forth and forever!  Read why by logging onto this week’s ToPS Blog at www.TotalPatientService.BlogSpot.com   It is essential reading for every team.  You’ll have to read it to understand the new title for the action thoughts below!

Have a great week as you make your team ToPS!

M.O.M. Action Thoughts for the Day

June 14

Thought:  Arguments out of a pretty mouth are unanswerable.  Joseph Addison

Action:   Now you can feel even more fulfilled as you keep concentrating on making pretty smiles.  In addition to all else, you will be making the world a more peaceful place!

June 15

Thought:  We do not love people as much for the good they have done to us as for the good we have done to them.   Leo Tolstoy

Action:  Employ one of the most persuasive phrases you can use with your patients: “I need your help.”  Ask your patients for help and they will like you and themselves better for the good they have done for you.

June 16

Thought:  Progress is not possible without change; and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.  George Bernard Shaw

Action:  There are always things that can be improved with change.  Ask every patient today what they would most like to change about their smile if anything were possible and there were no limitations.  You’ll be amazed at the number of changes they will make in their mind that will eventually lead to a change you can help them make in their smile.

June 17

Thought:  I can live for two months on a good compliment.  Mark Twain

Action:  Research has shown that untrue or genuine, either type of compliment is persuasive! So start the habit today of finding something on which you can compliment each patient.

June 18

Thought:   Not many would listen to you talk if they didn’t know it was their turn next!

Ed W. Howe

Action:  Be interested, not interesting!  ASK, don’t tell.
